The Travault 50: The World

Fifty restaurants in nineteen cities, chosen by us rather than voted on, and ordered by the Travault editorial score.

Ranked by best_in_classRestaurantsUpdated September 2026
Jump to #1

This is our selection, not a vote. No panel, no ballot, no averaging of other people's lists: fifty restaurants in nineteen cities, each one reviewed in full against the same rubric, whether it sits in Tokyo, Lima or a hamlet outside Kobarid.

The order is the editorial score — the five dimensions of each review, weighted and shown to one decimal. When two rooms show the same score, the tie is broken by the unrounded figure behind it, so the list keeps its order even where the numbers on the page look level.

Every price on these pages is one the restaurant published, with the date we read it, and every award a page names carries its year. One room, A. Wong, reopens at 70 Wilton Road on 29 September 2026 after its Mayfair residency; it keeps its place, and its page says so.
