We collect what we need to run the site, we don't sell your data, we use Stripe for payments, and you can delete your account any time by emailing us. The full details are below.
Account information. When you create a Travault account, we collect your name, email address, and any profile information you choose to provide.
Usage data. We automatically collect information about how you interact with Travault, including pages visited, articles read, search queries, and features used. This helps us improve our editorial recommendations and site experience.
Device and browser data. We collect standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers to ensure the site functions properly and to detect abuse.
Payment information. When you make a purchase through our shop or subscribe to Travault+, payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number. We receive a confirmation of your transaction and basic billing details (name, postal code, last four digits) from Stripe.
Newsletter and communications. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address and track open rates and click-through rates to improve our content.
User-generated content. This includes reviews, tips, saved lists, trip itineraries, and any other content you create on Travault.
We use the information we collect to operate and improve Travault, personalize your experience (such as article recommendations and location-relevant content), process transactions and send purchase confirmations, send newsletters and editorial updates you've opted into, analyze site performance and content engagement, prevent fraud, abuse, and security threats, and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data to train AI models.
Travault uses essential cookies to maintain your session and preferences (such as dark mode and authentication state). We use analytics tools to understand how visitors interact with our content. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings.
Our site may contain affiliate links to third-party booking platforms, retailers, and services. When you click these links, the destination site may set its own cookies. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

Stripe — payment processing for shop purchases and Travault+ subscriptions. Google Maps — interactive maps and geocoding for venue locations. Google Analytics — anonymous site usage analytics. Pinterest — automated content pinning for articles with images.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it (such as transaction records for tax purposes).
You can request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing privacy@travault.com.
If you're in the EU/EEA (GDPR): You have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data. You can object to or restrict certain processing. You have the right to withdraw consent at any time.
If you're in California (CCPA): You have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it's used. You can request deletion of your personal information. You have the right to opt out of the sale of personal information — though we do not sell personal information.

Travault is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by posting a notice on the site and updating the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of Travault after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
