Use Travault respectfully, don't steal our content, understand that travel info changes and we can't guarantee accuracy, and know that affiliate links support our editorial independence. Full details below.
By accessing or using Travault ("the Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Site. We may update these terms at any time — continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
Travault is an independent travel publication and platform offering editorially curated restaurant, bar, hotel, experience, and gear reviews, city guides and trip planning tools, a shop for digital guides and travel products, and premium membership (Travault+).
Our content reflects editorial opinions and the Travault scoring methodology. Scores are subjective assessments, not guarantees of quality. Venues, prices, hours, and availability change — always verify details directly with the establishment before visiting.
You may create an account to access features like saving articles, building trips, creating lists, and posting reviews. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information and keep it current. One account per person — shared or automated accounts are not permitted.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
You may submit content to Travault including reviews, tips, trip itineraries, and lists ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant Travault a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute that content on and in connection with the Site.
You retain ownership of your User Content. You represent that you have the right to submit it and that it does not infringe on any third party's rights. We reserve the right to remove User Content that violates these terms or that we determine, in our sole discretion, is inappropriate.
Do not submit content that is defamatory, harassing, threatening, or obscene, infringes on intellectual property rights, contains spam, malware, or commercial solicitation, or impersonates another person or entity.
Shop purchases. All sales of digital guides and physical products are processed through Stripe. Prices are listed in USD unless otherwise stated. Digital products are delivered immediately upon purchase. Refunds for digital products are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact hello@travault.com.
Travault+ subscriptions. Travault+ is a recurring subscription billed monthly or annually. You can cancel at any time — your access continues through the end of the current billing period. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial billing periods.
Travault uses affiliate links. When you click a link to a third-party booking platform, retailer, or service and make a purchase, we may earn a commission. This never influences our editorial recommendations or Travault Scores. Our scoring methodology is applied identically regardless of any commercial relationship.
We clearly disclose the use of affiliate links on our About page.
All editorial content, design, code, scoring systems, branding, and original photography on Travault are owned by Travault or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without prior written permission.
You may share links to Travault articles and embed brief excerpts (under 100 words) with proper attribution and a link back to the original.
Travault is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of our content. Travel information changes frequently — we are not liable for outdated information about venues, prices, hours, or availability.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Site. We are not responsible for the content, products, or services of third-party sites linked from Travault.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Travault and its owner, employees, and contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site, including but not limited to reliance on travel recommendations, purchase decisions, or service interruptions.
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved in the courts of the state in which Travault operates.
